Born near the end of March, Teacup (short-hair male) and Shimmy (long hair female) are brother and sister tuxedo kitties. They are adorable and sweet and must be adopted together.

They are very healthy and will live wonderful, vibrant lives (with normal life spans) but they have a condition called ‘cerebellar hypoplasia’ (CH) which causes them to wobble and shake when they move. They “shimmy” around but are happy sweethearts who eat, drink, walk, and use the litter box on their own. Their only special requirement is that, as kittens, they should stay at ground level or on a kitten-sized cat tower. As they get older, they may be able to handle jumps down from the couch, but at their current size (3 pounds), they should not be making jumps larger than about 12 inches. Ideally, Teacup and Shimmy will be adopted by a tranquil, adults-only home with cat-parenting experience.

Teacup is a lounger; he knows that when he is stationary, he wobbles less, so he loves to find a spot to settle in and he loves to play with you- especially with a wand-type toy. He is sleek and when he settles into your pets, he purrs and his eyes go soft. Such a wonderful guy. Shimmy is a lovey, chatty girl. She loves your attention and doesn’t mind shimmying around to explore spaces, though she definitely has her favorite spots. She will flop over for tummy rubs and gives your hand the sweetest little lick-kisses. They may be shy when you meet them, but they are affectionate kitties who love to be silly and will blossom in a home with big hearts.

Fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and their adoption includes a voucher for a free vet exam for each of them.
