Anu is a beautiful little tabby girl who had a very rough start to life on the island of Kauai.
Anu was a very tiny and skinny feral kitten who was trapped and spayed through a high volume spay/neuter clinic on the island of Kauai. During the recovery period, Anu’s heart stopped and emergency care was given to restart her heart. After many hours of observation, it was determined that the trauma of her heart stopping had damaged her vision and she could not be returned to her feral cat colony.
So started Anu’s big adventure flying from the island of Kauai to San Luis Obispo California with a Feline Network volunteer. Anu has now been in her Feline Network foster home for six weeks, she has gained over a pound in weight and she seems to have regained almost all of her sight. When she arrive at her foster home, she weighed 1 pound, 14 ounces, Anu now weighs 3 pounds! And she is playing with toys and bossing her foster family around 🙂
Anu really wants an other cat to sleep with and play with, so she will be a wonderful companion kitty for an other cat or kitten. Anu is choosy about the people she interacts with, she has bonded with her foster mom and will transfer that bond to her next caregiver.
